Google Health et al

Yesterday News.com made mention of a horde of postings and literature that had been written by Google Veep, Adam Bosworth. One piece of information they focused on in particular was Bosworth’s interest in the development of the next generation of personal health records, or—Google Health. It’s been theorized that Google Health would be a web-based location where users “own their personal health data,” and can share that information via the web with anyone they deem necessary.

While this could be the next innovative tool that defines Google as both a search engine and technological giant, there were other Google developments that News.com failed to mention. Listed below are some of the programs that are still in Google R&D, to the best of our knowledge.

Google Bed Time Stories: Simply put your laptop next to your child’s bedside while they are lulled to sleep by stories from the most extensive collection of children’s literature read by Stephen Hawking.

Google Government: Using an algorithm to operate the systems that keep America safe, sound, and complete? We’ve done worse.

Google Chemistry Teacher: It’s like the cool chemistry that encourages students to push the limits of discovery and knowledge, minus the emotionally bruised ego left by his ex-wife.

Google Movie Theater: Need some Skittles? Just Froogle them, that’ll be eight bucks.

Google Uncle: The world’s finest anthology of stories you shouldn’t hear.

Google Personal Trainer: Works wonders for those looking for a cheaper alternative for a healthier style, but is considered useless by trophy wives everywhere looking for “something on the side.”

Google Skull and Bones: The premier social networking site that puts Facebook and Myspace to shame.

Google Funeral Home: Just look for the Google logo where the two O’s are replaced by floating halos. There you can make sure loved ones are laid to rest in the most respectful and peaceful manner, as you simultaneously login to their Google Last Will and Testament account.

Share and Enjoy: These icons link to social bookmarking sites where readers can share and discover new web pages.
